How is the procedure performed?

Under general anesthesia or intravenous (IV) sedation, Dr. Merheb makes a small incision inside the mouth and carefully positions a medical-grade synthetic implant over the patient’s bony structure to improve facial contour. When cheek implants are placed, any fat bulges under the eyes can be evenly draped over the implant, helping to eliminate bags.

How will you look after surgery?

Results are noticeable immediately after the placement of cheek and chin implants. Patients may experience varying degrees of bruising and swelling, which typically subside over two weeks. Makeup can usually be applied within a few days after the procedure. Minimal discomfort is anticipated following the surgery, which can be managed with medications prescribed by your surgeon.
